Villa El Gavilan

We are delighted that you have selected our home for your stay on the Costa del Sol.  We hope that your visit will be memorable and our house will feel like your home.  We worked hard to ensure that the house is equipped with all that you may need and has the level of comfort and luxury you would expect from this type of property.  

 

A little bit about us:

 

We are two recently retired financial planners from Canada with a 3 kilo Yorkie called Amy Lou.  We sold our financial planning practice in 2017 and spent our first winter away from the rain and grey sky of Vancouver in Nerja. You can see my blog here. We fell in love with the area, winter light and “sunny everyday” weather. After much research and soul searching we decided that the Nerja area was the place to spend our winters.  We spent several months looking for the perfect property.  We bought our dream house in the sun in January 2019. We selected this house because of its incredible views, privacy and magnificent garden.  Its amenities perfectly suit our lifestyle.  We like to cook, entertain, garden, read and lounge in the sun.  We are quite active and walk a lot. We are currently learning Spanish and love driving to nearby villages for lunch and weekend getaways.  We like Nerja because it has retained its Spanish authenticity and because it is big enough to offer all the services you need and the cultural lifestyle that we like.  We love Frigiliana because it is one of the most beautiful Pueblo Blancos of Andalucía and offers interesting Art.  We are wine and food lovers and both towns have an incredible selection of restaurants.
